Bitter Blog Ragnorok

Locked out of my account.

I like to think of myself as the Thor of bitterness. At least as the Bitter Thor of Ragnorok.

Remember the beginning of Thor Ragnorok where Thor is hanging upside down, in a pit arrogantly joking around with that fire demon, toying with him, not taking him seriously at all, because he was the mighty king and nothing anyone could do would stop him? Because Thor had his might hammer and it obey his every command.

He had the power to control lightning with his hammer. He felt no worry at all. No matter what he did, he could always just use his powers to get out of things. That all changed in the movie when his father died, and his sister came back. Until that moment, no one else could even lift his hammer, let alone stop it in any way.

He threw his might hammer at his sister, and she crushed it like a grape. Everything that Thor knew was gone. Then he was thrust to a junk planet, and eventually he lost his his eye. Everything was taken from him.

My hammer was crushed.

I used to think I ruled WordPress like the mighty Thor did. I had my 10,000 followers (though let’s be honest, about 9900 of them were spam and/or people that long ago stopped blogging or reading my blog), my 1000 bitter posts and all this power. Everytime I wrote a post, I would get 50 or more likes and get dozens of comments from adoring fans.

Then it all changed. It wasn’t my sister that took me down, but WordPress. I tried to log in, and I couldn’t get into my own blog. After almost a month of trying, I gave up. Scarred, bruised, pummeled in the face, and one eye taken from me, I lost my mighty blog.

So, I did like Thor in Ragnorok. At first, I just used my survival techniques. I started this blog from scratch. I started reaching out to my sources (the ones that were actual followers, like Cyranny and a few others) and threw up the Lightning Signal and asked if they would follow again. I revamped how my blog posts are being promoted on Facebook (with videos) and started my own network (Bitter Entertainment Network), which is my attempt to start my own network, featuring blogs, videos, and other entertainment on my YouTube channel. It isn’t all ready yet, and unlike Thor, we don’t know the end of this bitter journey, but I feel like I’m starting to get my bitter powers back.

Will this be me? Or will I just fizzle out?

So follow this blog, the Bitter Entertainment Network, my YouTube channel and my Facebook Page, to find a whole network of bitter entertainment and you might start seeing lightning bolts come out of my eyes.

  1. Looks like you’re getting the whole BEN network thing hammered out. And on the bright side, now that you’ll have to find new followers, you can recycle your old posts without them having any clue they’re reading a rerun.

    • You got that right. My idea was to use all my old blog posts and reuse them or remix them into entertaining bitter content. (Either animate them, or use them to create stories, etc.) YOU see the vision.
